We’re looking for an “Officer / Senior Officer- Shariah Compliance” to join our Islamic Finance Division (IFD) at our Head Office in Karachi.
The role involves supporting the Shariah Compliance function across PKIC’s Islamic Finance Division by assisting in monitoring business activities, products, processes and documentation to ensure alignment with the applicable Shariah principles, guidelines and rulings of the Shariah Advisor and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Key responsibilities include assisting in routine Shariah compliance reviews, identifying potential Shariah non-compliance risks and process gaps, reviewing financing documentation, maintaining Shariah compliance records, supporting the implementation of the Shariah Advisor's instructions and SBP requirements and coordinating with relevant departments for the resolution of Shariah-related observations.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Islamic banking and finance concepts with an interest and inclination towards Islamic banking and Shariah Compliance along with an appropriate mindset towards Shariah-compliant financial practices. Good communication, coordination, documentation and computer skills, coupled with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively will be preferred.

🏢 Department: Shariah Compliance Function - Islamic Finance Division
🎓 Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Islamic Banking & Finance, Islamic Finance, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or a related discipline from a recognised institution. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
💼 Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience in Shariah Compliance, Shariah Audit or Product Development.
